Do You Have Sinus Pressure Or A Toothache

Posted on 9/5/2022 by Ranches Family Dental
Do You Have Sinus Pressure Or A ToothacheYour skull has a pair of hollow cavities called the sinuses linked to the nasal passages. Sinusitis is characterized by an inflammation of the tissues that line the sinus cavities, which often results in a painful condition. One of the most typical symptoms of sinus disorders is discomfort in the inner back teeth.

Pain in the teeth caused by sinus issues is often felt in the upper lobes and spreads to many teeth rather than affecting just one. Having sinus discomfort that is felt in the teeth, on the other hand, might also trigger you to have a mild temperature. In most cases, a toothache brought on by dental issues will affect just one tooth, but it will be far more severe.

Sinus Infections Are Dangerous

The infection, often spreading to one or both eyes, is the most typical consequence. This condition, known as cavernous sinus thrombosis, is characterized by severe symptoms, including redness, swelling, and sometimes even blindness. Infections in the sinuses can potentially migrate to the brain, where they may lead to potentially fatal conditions, such as brain abscesses.
